Becky Luu, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Becky Luu has been caring for children’s ocular health and vision in North Texas since 2017. After practicing alongside Drs. David Stager, Jr. and David Stager, Sr. at Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus, she founded Little Eyes Pediatric Eye Care in 2024 with a simple goal: to help every child see their best and reach their full potential.

Dr. Luu is a residency-trained pediatric optometrist, having completed an additional year of specialized training at the University of Alabama School of Optometry, where she cared for more than 1,200 pediatric and strabismic patients. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry and, before pursuing optometry, graduated from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Supply Chain Management. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO), a distinction earned through rigorous peer review, case presentations, and an oral examination. Dr. Luu is also involved in amblyopia research at the Retina Foundation of the Southwest, where she contributes to ongoing efforts to better understand and advance treatment for childhood vision disorders.

Dr. Luu’s clinical interests include pediatric and adult strabismus and myopia management in children. Her interest in eye care stemmed early in childhood from attending eye exams with her younger brother (now adult brother) who has been in glasses since he was four years old. She saw first hand the profound effect that something as simple as a pair of glasses had on her brother’s learning and development. That experience stayed with her and ultimately shaped the kind of doctor she wanted to become.

She founded Little Eyes with the belief that clear vision can help children learn, grow, and thrive. Her goal is to create a practice where children and their families feel heard, cared for, and confident in their eye care.

​​​​​​​Outside of work, Dr. Luu enjoys figure skating and spending time with her husband and 2 daughters, Evelyn and Emmy. As a family, they love to travel, explore new restaurants, and discover new places together.
